Updated: Dolfine to Speak at Colby College (Oct. 28)

Please join us on Wednesday, October 28 at 7 pm for an evening with Dolfine Gumba Dawa Oliech, founder of the Korando Center in Kisumu, Kenya, who will be sharing her story about establishing a school for 200 orphans, caring for 34 orphans in her home, and Korando’s efforts to become self-sustainable.

The event will be held in Olin Science Center at Colby College in Waterville, Room 1.

We will also be collecting donations of girls’ and boys’ clothing, size 4 to adult medium. (Modest dresses, skirts, shirts, and sweaters for girls; pants, short, sweaters and button-down shirts for boys.)

Dolfine to Visit Maine in October

Dear Friends,

First off, we would like to thank everyone that helped make the bowling fundraiser in July such a great success, in particular Donna and Eddie Klein. We were able to raise enough funds to pay for the boy’s dormitory which is expected to be completed by the end of September.

We are happy to share with you the news that Dolfine Gumba Dawa Oliech, founder of the Korando Center, and her daughter Pamela will be visiting us here in Maine in a few short weeks.

Please join us for a chance to speak with Dolfine and hear her story at one of these small gatherings planned in October.
