REP Board Members

Alice brings to Ripple Effect Project 20 years of volunteer board participation, event planning and fund raising experience. Alice is a mother of 5 adult children and grandmother of 2; she has been a midwife for 25 years. Upon meeting Dolphine, her heart was touched by Dolfine's work, determination, creativity, endurance, and complete faith that God will use her acts of kindness to make a change. It was this meeting of kindred spirits that ignited the sparks for the development of Ripple Effect Project.
Evan is a 20 year old student at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, Maine. He plans to transfer to a major university this fall. He loves traveling and experiencing new things in all aspects of life. Evan feels it is essential for those who are capable of helping, to help. He has always felt the need to extend a hand to the less fortunate and in this case hopes to be a part of something big.
In addition to being a proud father of two wonderful children, Jesse is currently a third year medical student at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Though busy with studies, Jesse feels it is important to consistently give time and energy to the service of others. He feels that in the United States our potential to achieve is only limited by the constraints we put upon ourselves and the fetters we put on our dreams. It is his hope to impart to his children the sense of good fortune that we have to be born in this place, at this time. He feels that with this good fortune comes an obligation to serve others whose daily existence is difficult beyond comprehension, and whose lives are marked by tragedies unimaginable.
Joshua Sammon is a 26 year old full time student at the University of Southern Maine, as well as being design coordinator for a structural engineering firm in Portland Maine. He feels strongly that it is a moral and social obligation for those who have to help those that have not. He also belongs to the "teach a man to fish" philosophy; the need for people to help themselves in order to achieve long term results. To throw money at a situation alone is merely a band-aid. Whereas to provide money in a way that promotes self sustainability is a solution.
Rebecca is a full time Mom to her two daughters Emma and Zoe. She was initially paralyzed by the challenges faced by children around the world. Driving her to overcome this sense of paralysis was an overwhelming desire to become part of the solution. It was this desire that led her to help form Ripple Effect Project. She believes that it is vital for her children to grow up surrounded with a greater sense of humanity by contributing to the betterment of our global community. She believes that if we can help create an environment where even one child is safer, more loved and better nourished, then Ripple Effect Project can be considered a success.
